The Tubercula mushrooms can be found on the surface of wood (as in dead pine needles), on the floor, or on the wall of a cave. When they are not under the ground they can be found in a number of different places. They are easily recognizable by the small black dots that they have on the edges of their caps. The shape of the caps varies from species to species, but most mushrooms have a bulbous form with a narrow central groove.
